Applicants for the Georgia Broker Examination must:
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Be a high school graduate or the holder of a certificate of equivalency
- Successfully complete a 60-hour Broker Prelicense course at an approved school such as Georgia MLS Training Institute
- Pass a proctored exam with a 75% or better in order to be eligible to take the state exam
- Have maintained a salesperson's license in active status for at least three of the five years immediately preceding the filing of an application to become a broker (effective 07/01/07).
- On March 1, 2006, the Georgia Real Estate Commission (GREC) began using simulations as the assessment method on the Georgia Broker’s real estate license examination.
